MISSIONS NOW!
REACHING THE WORLD WHILE THERE IS TIME!
That will be the theme of the 2007 World Baptist Fellowship
Fall Meeting, which will take place October 15-17, 2007 at the Mt. Zion Baptist
Church in Jasper, Georgia. Pastor
Ben Langley and the church staff and church family are working hard to make this
meeting a time of great blessing for all who attend. The speakers whom Dr. Langley has chosen for the meeting will
challenge our hearts with the Word of God and for the cause of missions.
We will hear from several of our missionaries who will give reports of
their work on the field. Bro. Wally
Bearden is planning a wonderful music program that will be Christ honoring.
There is a list of motels in the latest issue of the Fundamentalist and
we encourage you to make your reservations now because October is a peak tourist
time for beautiful north Georgia. You
may also call the Mission Office at 817-274-7161 for a list of motels or look on
our website at: www.wbfi.net
Join us in Jasper for a great time of fellowship and spiritual
refreshment.
Please pray for the Fall Meeting and especially for the
Special Mission Offering, that we will reach our goal of $50,000.
This offering is vital for the ongoing ministry of the Mission Office as
we serve our missionary families. The
General Fund is supported by a number of churches, our missionary families, and
this special offering that is received at the Fall Meeting each year.
Without this offering, we could not meet our annual budget. Please pray about having a part in this Special Mission
Offering. Bring your offering to
the meeting in Jasper or mail it to the Mission Office at P. O. Box 13459,
Arlington, TX 76094. We appreciate
so much your participation in this special offering.
We welcome to our WBF Mission Family Miss
Meisha Deane and the Matthew
Thorpe family. Meisha is sent
out by the Bible Baptist Church in Slaton, Texas and will be going to the
country of Ukraine. She has felt a
burden for Russian speaking people since she was a child and is excited that the
Lord has called her to reach them with the Gospel.
Matthew and Beverly Thorpe, along with their children, Rebecca and
Brandon, will be going to Australia. They
are sent out by the Pleasantview Baptist Church of Arlington, Texas.
The Thorpes recently were able to make a survey trip to Australia and
returned with a heightened burden and perfect peace that the Lord has called
them there to preach the Gospel. You
may contact these new missionaries through the Mission Office for meetings.
They are looking forward to presenting their ministry and calling in your
church. The Thorpes and Miss Deane
join Eric & Lynn Bass, who were approved in February, as our newest WBF
Missionary families.
Please pray for those in our Mission Family who are
fighting illness: Eliana
Densmore, Amber Cato, Jim
Foster (recovering from surgery), Debi
Harris, Monnie Bacon, Gloria
Higgins, Joe Hawkins,
Juanita Bowen, Doyle
& Wanda Whaley, Sandy Janky.
Thank you for your faithfulness to pray and support our
missionary families as they strive to reach souls around the world.
