NEWSLETTERJUNE 2007 We have several exciting announcements for this month’s newsletter: Alan and Kathy Hart will be going to the African nation of Mozambique. They have labored faithfully in Portugal for 17 years and the Lord has richly blessed their ministry there. Now they will go from a first world to a third world country that is in great need of the Gospel. Pray for them as they make their plans following furlough for the move to Mozambique that God will use them in winning souls, starting churches and training national workers. Arlington Baptist College is expanding and improving the Missions Department and they have asked Brian Powers to head up this department. He and Jodell will continue as World Baptist Fellowship missionaries and will depend upon their faithful supporting churches to continue to uphold them in prayer and financial support in this new ministry. We believe that it will result in more mission students and more WBF missionaries in the future. Shawn and Amy Sullivan will join in partnership with Mike and Christie Starling in the ministry of MissionQuest International. The goals of MissionQuest are to challenge men and women to answer the call of God to a missionary ministry; to provide pastors and church members the opportunity to serve and experience first-hand ministry on the mission field, and to be a blessing to missionaries and national churches on the field. The Sullivans and Starlings will also depend upon the Lord to provide their needs through the ongoing prayers and financial support of their faithful churches. Eliana Joy Densmore was born to Missionaries Joy and Brian Densmore on May 17, 2007. Eliana was born with a very rare Metabolic disorder that prohibits her body from accepting nourishment. She was very critical and on life support, but is now doing better. Doctors have devised a special food for her and she is able to receive nourishment from it. Please pray for this little one that she will grow strong and continue to improve. Jerry, Bonnie and Timothy Bitner have returned to the field of Mexico. They still do not have their residence papers, but were able to enter the country on tourist papers until the paperwork is complete on their residence visas. Miss Betty Alice Hall has also returned to the field of Mexico following her furlough. Tommy and Kannika Tucker have returned to Thailand and are in the process of adopting a little boy. They will return to the U. S. in August to complete their furlough travels and so that Tommy’s folks can meet their new grandson. Dick & Tonya Burdine and boys have arrived in the U. S. for their furlough and the Ed Edington family, Skip Woodfin family, John Hawkins family, Larry & Barbara Koehn and Lanny & Judy Wood will arrive later this summer for furlough. Pray for all of these folks as they travel and get settled. Pray for the following missionaries who have physical needs: Ernie Brown, Debi Harris, Monnie Bacon, Gloria Higgins, Mary Gagnon, Joe Hawkins, Sandy Janky, Sammy Jo Myers (who is now cancer free!), Spencer Starling (who suffered a neck injury), Doyle Whaley, Wanda Whaley, Dana McCutchen, Juanita Bowen. Thank you for your prayers and continuing financial support for our missionary families around the world. God works in answer to your prayer. Please pray also for those of us who labor in the Mission Office and for the financial need of the General Fund. Thanks to each church that supports our General Fund to help us continue our service to the missionary families. If you do not support the General Fund, please consider taking it on for support. Additional financial support for the General Fund is greatly needed. Tommy Raley Since May 23, 2007
