NEWSLETTER
DECEMBER 2006

As you receive this newsletter, we will be in that wonderful time of the year when we celebrate the birth of our Saviour and the hope of eternal life that He brought, and still brings, to the world.  Thank God for the coming of Emmanuel to be our sin-bearer and Redeemer.  Our missionaries around the world will be leading their people in special services and programs that will give them the opportunity to proclaim the Gospel to people they might not be able to reach at other times during the year.  Pray that the Lord will use these special services for His glory and to the winning of many souls to Christ.

Special offerings sent to our missionaries as Christmas gifts should be marked “Gift” so they will know that they are Christmas gifts.  Special deposits will be made on December 15 of the gifts that arrive before that date.  Other gifts will be included in the regular monthly deposits on December 28, 2006.

Please continue to pray for the approval of the needed visas for the Jerry Bitner family so that they can return to the field for their next term.  It appears that their paperwork has been misplaced by the Immigration department there in Mexico.  Pray that there will not be a long delay in their return to the field.

Jack and Ute Hardy are getting settled on the field in Wales and are already involved in the work there.  Pray that the Lord will use them in a great way in reaching souls and planting churches in Wales.

Pray for the Terry McClure family in Palau, Micronesia.  The bank where their personal and church funds were deposited was closed by the government and all their funds frozen.  There is not much chance that they will recover any of the funds and this has caused a great hardship on them personally and also on the church.  Pray that the Lord will allow them to recover their money, especially the money the church has been saving in their building fund.

The church in Bali, Indonesia that was started by Missionaries John and Marjorie Malanowski will dedicate their new building on January 21, 2007.  This is a real answer to prayer and a time of great blessing and victory for the church there in Bali.

The following missionaries need your prayers as they battle physical problems.  Florence McDonald, Saundra Henderson, Debi Harris, Monnie Bacon, Wanda Whaley, Mary Gagnon, Juanita Bowen, Helen Smith, Gloria Higgins, Ernie Brown, Joe Hawkins.

It appears that 2006 will mark another record year in the total amount of offerings that have been sent through the WBF Mission Office to our missionaries by faithful churches and individual Christians.  We thank God for your faithfulness, not only in financial giving to our missionaries, but especially for your prayers.  Our missionaries could not obey the call of God without faithful prayer warriors and supporters.  Thank you for your continued faithfulness!
