NEWSLETTER
DECEMBER 2005
We here at the World Baptist Fellowship Mission Office
wish for every church and every individual Christian who have a part in the
ongoing worldwide ministry of our missionary families a very Merry Christmas and
Happy New Year! It hardly seems
possible that another year is almost gone.
Much has been accomplished for the Lord on the mission fields around the
world. Souls have been saved,
believers baptized, new churches organized and new missions and preaching points
established. While we are thankful
to the Lord for the victories that have been won, we are also cognizant that so
much more work needs to be done. There
are still many unreached people groups and even entire countries that have not
yet been penetrated by the Gospel. Some
of these countries are closed to missionary endeavor, but some are open and the
only thing lacking is the personnel to go with the Gospel. Will you join with us in praying that God will continue to
call out laborers for His harvest and that those to whom the Holy Spirit speaks
will be receptive to His call and will surrender their lives for the preaching
of the Gospel around the world.
Christmas gift offerings for our missionaries will be
deposited into their checking accounts in addition to their regular support.
We will make special deposits of Christmas gifts on December 15, 2005 and
December 28, 2005. Gifts arriving
after those dates will be deposited along with the missionaries’ regular
deposits. Thank you for
remembering our missionaries during the Christmas season.
Missionaries need your prayers and encouragement at all
times, but especially during the holiday season. Usually they are too busy for much homesickness, but at this
time of the year everyone thinks of home and family and this can be a lonely
time on the mission field. A
Christmas card, letter, e-mail or phone call can be a special blessing to a
missionary family during this time. You
can obtain missionary addresses and phone numbers by calling the Mission Office
at 817-274-7161, or by sending a request by e-mail to wbfraley@earthlink.net
Mike and Debbie
Lane have arrived in the U. S. for a very short furlough and will be
visiting as many of their churches as they can during the next two months.
Rick and Megan
Washburn, Jr. and their girls will arrive from Spain this month for a
six-month furlough. Visa
restrictions in Spain keep the Washburns from taking a year’s furlough.
Miss Betty Alice Hall has
arrived from Mexico for a long past due furlough.
She is in great need of raising more support due to many years without a
furlough. Pray for these families
as they get settled and into the routine of furlough travels.
Please continue to pray for Justin McCutchen, who is
stationed in Iraq and also for Michael Hart, who is scheduled for deployment to
Iraq this month. Pray that these
young men will be protected as they serve our country there in the war zone.
Pray for the following missionaries who are ill:
Miss Bessie Millican,
Jack Weaver, Sandy
Janky, Debi Harris, Joe
Hawkins, Monnie Bacon, Mary
& Phil Gagnon, Sammy Jo Myers,
Gloria Higgins, Juanita
Bowen, Betty Hawkins.
Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer and financial
support for our missionary families. We
also appreciate so much each church that has a part in supporting the General
Fund. We are able to serve our
missionaries because of your faithfulness.
