NEWSLETTERJULY 2004Now is the time to make your plans to attend the 2004 Fall Meeting. Our meeting this year will be held in conjunction with a combined meeting of the World Baptist Fellowship, Baptist Bible Fellowship, Southwide Baptist Fellowship and some other groups as well. The meeting will take place September 26-29, 2004 at the Highland Park Baptist Church, 1907 Bailey Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37404. The meeting will begin with a God and Country service on Sunday evening, September 26 and will end with Wednesday evening services, Sept. 29. For a list of motels in the area you can call the Mission Office at 817-274-7161 or check our website at www.wbfi.net Our Mission Store will take place this year on Thursday,
September 30, 2004 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Jasper, Georgia.
Items for the mission store should not be shipped to Chattanooga, but to
Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1036 N. Main St., Jasper, GA 30143.
The church’s phone number is 706-692-6315. Our special offering goal for the Fall Meeting is
$50,000 again this year. This
amount is vitally necessary for the operation of the Mission Office. We are so thankful that God has met the need each year and we
are confident that He will do so again this year.
You may bring your offering to the meeting in Chattanooga, or mail it to
the WBF Mission Office, P. O. Box 13459, Arlington, TX 76094 if you are unable
to attend the meeting in Chattanooga. If
each church would participate in the offering, we would have no difficulty in
reaching our goal of $50,000. Thank
you in advance for your participation. Please be in prayer for Miss
Karen Werth as she returns to Indonesia in July for her next term of service
and for Andy and Linda Briggs
& Children as they return to Latvia for their next term. Kyron
and Toni Horton & Children have arrived from Brazil for furlough and Stephen
and Charlotte Byrd & sons are due in from Ecuador for their furlough.
Pray for these families as they begin their furlough travels. Pray for those of our mission family who are ill:
Miss Bessie Millican
continues to cling to life. She is
completely bedridden and has to be cared for 24 hours a day.
She has very little pain but is very weak and the doctors do not give
hope of a recovery. Pray that the
Lord’s will be done. Bro.
Jack Weaver continues to do well in his struggle with Lou Gehrig’s
Disease. He was able to preach on June 6, 2004 at his home church, the
Calvary Baptist Church in Palestine, Texas.
He was thrilled at the opportunity and the entire church family was
blessed by his message. Bro.
Raley is recovering from hip replacement surgery and is anxious to get well
enough to return to the office. Monnie
Bacon is undergoing tests and may have to have surgery in the very near
future. She has battled the
intestinal disease for many years now. Mary
Gagnon, Phil Gagnon, Cecil
Henderson, Joe Hawkins,
Debi Harris, Gloria
Higgins, Barbara Wimm all have
ongoing physical problems and need your prayers. Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer and financial support. Our missionaries as well as the General Fund are dependent upon your faithfulness and you have never let us down. God is good to provide the needs through His faithful children. Tommy Raley |
