NEWSLETTER
MARCH 2008
We make the statement many times, “I am praying
for you”, and we do pray for those who are brought to our minds who
have special needs. I think
that sometimes, however, we take for granted the prayers of God’s
people during difficult times. I
have never been more aware of the depth of the love of God’s people
and their prayers than in the past weeks.
I have been overwhelmed by the numbers of cards, phone calls,
letters and e-mail messages that I have received in the days since my
hip replacement surgery on
February 12, 2008
. As a part of these
messages, many have stated how important they feel the WBFI Newslist is
in getting prayer requests made known around the world.
We would like to include as many on the WBFI newslist as
possible. If you are not
presently on the e-mail newslist and would like to be included, please
send an e-mail message to wbfraley@earthlink.net
requesting that your address be added to the list.
We will be glad to include you in future mailings so that you
receive prayer requests and important announcements about the World
Baptist Fellowship and our missionary families.
Arlington
Baptist
College
also has a newslist and they would be glad to add you to their mailings
as well. You can contact
Bro. Emil Balliet at the College at eballiet@abconline.edu
Eric and Lynn Bass have departed for six months of language and cultural
studies as they prepare for their ministry in a restricted field.
They will be greatly in need of your prayers on their behalf as
they learn the language and culture of their field.
They will not be able to receive regular mail, but may be
contacted by e-mail at: eric.bass@swissmail.org
Pray for Doyle
and Wanda Whaley, who have returned to the field of
Guatemala
. They will remain on the
field as long as Bro. Doyle’s health allows.
Most of you know that he has been diagnosed with early
Alzheimer’s Disease, but he is responding well thus far to the
medication.
Pray for our missionaries who are fighting battles
with illness.
Mike Lane
has begun treatments for Prostate cancer.
Dr. Wendell Hiers
will also begin treatments for Prostate cancer this month.
Ernie Brown
continues to have heart testing done.
Eliana Densmore
continues to make limited progress in her battle with metabolic disease.
Sandy Janky has
varied medical problems and because of her heart/lung problems doctors
do not want to do surgery on her. Juanita
Bowen continues her recovery from neck surgery.
Sammy Jo Myers
remains cancer free following her latest tests.
The following missionaries have ongoing daily physical battles
with illness: Monnie
Bacon, Debi Harris,
Gloria Higgins, Mary
Gagnon, Charlene Neill,
Amber Cato, Phil
Gagnon, Joe
Hawkins.
Thank you for your continuing faithfulness in
prayer and financial support for our missionary families, and a special
thanks to those who support the General Fund.
Your faithfulness makes possible our ministry on behalf of our
missionaries around the world.
