Dear Friends,

        Our Children's Day activities were executed extremely well. The church hosted 57 children. Samuel and Leticia did great with all the plans. Our daughter Leila was involved with the puppet skit, and she also did a good job.
        Since September we've had nine more professions of faith: Fabio and William, brothers (ages 11 and 12), and their friend Wesley (11 yrs); Janete (mid 30's); Juliana (mid 20's); Pedro (11 yrs) was led to the Lord by his cousin, Carolina (10 yrs); Terezinha (mid 50's); Carla (40 yrs); and Jessica (\6 yrs).
        We baptized four more on November 24. 1t was a blessing to baptize a mother and daughter, Fabiana and Carolina (the young lady that led her cousin to the Lord). One of our senior saints, Edeltraut (widowed) was re-baptized, as the only baptism she experienced was by aspersion as a child in the Lutheran church, long before she truly received Christ as her Savior.  Lucas (12 yrs) also was baptized, the son to one of our faithful couples of several years.
        Our averages in the services continue to be around or above fifty. We've been encouraged lately listening to the testimonies of our people. The most recent was from Clovis, who was enthusiastically sharing with us about how he and his wife witnessed to a sick uncle. About a week after their time with the uncle, while Clovis was speaking to him on the phone, he testified that he received Christ as his Savior, just as was explained to him. This is the type of spark that's needed to get the men of our church excited about their ministry in the church. Please pray the fire won't go out, but that it will spread to the others. We praise the Lord for His goodness and encouragement with His blessings upon the ministry here in Southern Brazil.
        The next indoor project the men are working on in the church, with already available material, is putting in the ceilings in the church classrooms, kitchen, and back hallway. The church is taking up a special Christmas offering to finish the bathroom and kitchen installations. What lacks is the septic system, stall dividers and wall tiles. Please be in prayer that enough will come in to finish the job. The estimate is around $1,500.00. This will take a miracle, as the church's average monthly income is only 1/3 of this.
        Speaking of funds, with the world financial crisis we actually are benefiting these days. The exchange has risen over 35% since July. The prices have risen a little bit, but not as much as we expected. This would be a great time for us to finish our most needy project: The completion of the parsonage. With the current exchange, we need a little over $10,000 to be able to finish it to the point of being able to call an associate pastor with a family. We have hopes that the Lord would provide us with an associate that will eventually become the pastor of the Fundamental Baptist Tabernacle. Would you please pray with us about the Lord's provision of the funds to finish the house, and the provision of an associate pastor?

Our prayer requests in summary are:
        * That the Lord would provide the funds for completion of the church parsonage;
        * Spiritual growth of the new converts and those baptized;
        * A Brazilian associate pastor for our church.

        Your prayers for our ministry are greatly appreciated. May God's grace and peace be with you. It is our prayer that you all have a great Christmas day, remembering the birth of our Savior, and that 2009 will be full of the Lord's blessings for you.

In His service,

Yelle Family
