Dear Pastor and congregation,

Our arrival back to Brazil went quite smoothly. The Lord blessed us in many ways, which made the thirty-two hours of transit more bearable for the whole family. We enjoyed visiting family, friends, all the churches, and making new friends this furlough, but we sure are glad to be back in our own home.

The past seven weeks can definitely be described as arduous. We've been busy getting ourselves settled back in at the same time that Neila is home schooling the girls, and both of us trying to work out our schedules around the tasks at hand with the ministry. By God's grace we are surviving, but feeling like we're not advancing very far.

It's the timely blessings of God that are keeping our heads above water. For example, in September a ten year old girl Alicia received Christ as her Savior. Then on Children's Day, October 12, we had thirty-two children participating in the activities (our average at that time in the church services was less than that!). This past week, two adult sisters, Mara and Denise, received Christ as their Savior! Tonight we reached a high of 49 in the services, which included a first time visiting couple who are moving to the neighborhood. Praise the Lord!

We thank the Lord that He provided the work here with David Cato and his family. Dave and Diane watch cared the work during our fourteen month absence. The transition with our return has gone smoothly. The Catos have a new work they are working on in the northern part of our city. A few of our church members are being a blessing to them, helping out at least once a month.

Speaking of new works, the work we began, Fundamental Baptist Tabernacle, is now sending out our institute couple to begin a new work in the central-southern part of Caxias. Bro. Rafael and his wife, Flavia, will be beginning to hold services in their garage this next week. Please be in prayer for these new churches.

Our prayer requests are as follows:

bullet

Newly saved (Alicia, Denise, & Mara).

bullet

The ministries of our church.

bullet

Good health of our family.

bullet

Increase in our financial support. We currently seem to be a little over 90% of what we need.

There is so much more we would have liked to have written, but we'll have to save it for next time. We thank you all again for your prayers and support. It was such a privilege to be in so many churches and to be ministered to. We also are grateful for the special offerings sent in for our camp and church construction projects.

Until He comes,

John & Neila Yelle
Joneia, Leila, & Katherine
