God has blessed in making it easier than we thought to get the church here legalized.  We've got it all done!  Thank you for praying for this with us.  Other news is that we've got our flights booked for Oct 25.  We were able to get five one-way tickets for a little over $500!  No, I didn't forget a "0".  We accumulated enough flight miles to get the tickets, and only have to pay the airport taxes!  What a blessing!  We still, however, do not have our return flights.  We'll work on that when we get Stateside.

 

This month Father's Day was celebrated here in Brazil.  After the service when we were getting ready to lock up, one of the dads that was present (Luiz) returned with his wife (Rosangela) to talk to John.  Well, he turned his life over to Christ that night!  He had made one or two professions of faith in the past, but finally the light of the Truth got through to his heart and he understood the true need of salvation -- salvation of the soul from eternal condemnation.  Before that, he was just trying to add Christ to his life, and be religious.  We've observed a definite change in him over the last two weeks.  He's got the peace of Christ in him!  Praise the Lord!

 

We're looking forward to getting Stateside and seeing many of you.  Unfortunately, time and distance will not allow us to get by all of our supporting churches and friends' homes.  Please keep praying that we're able to travel with all in order and in good hands here in Caxias.
