March 15, 2006

Dear Brethren,

Our furlough is now past the half-way mark. We have plans to return to Brazil the first week of September, 2006.

The reports are super encouraging that Bro. David Cato is passing on to us from the field. The Bible Institute is going well, and has begun the new year with one more student. Douglas is an 18 year old young man who has answered God's call on his life for full time service. Please pray for him, as he also is presently fulfilling his military obligation in the Brazilian army there in Caxias. With his addition, there are now four students.

The news from the visitation outreach is also great. Right now they have two families, one lady and five teenagers that go out at least once a week. They have seen several make professions of faith through their witnessing efforts. Please pray for the new converts, as followers of cult churches have been making efforts to steal some of them away.

In February, John's severely handicapped niece went home to be with the Lord. John had the privilege of preaching a memorial service for her. We know that several of those present were unsaved, including her half-sister, Allison. Please pray that Allison and all the unsaved who heard the Gospel there would soon accept Christ as their Savior.

As far as our finances go, by God's grace we are gaining new support. Several of our supporting churches have graciously given us a raise in support. We also have two new supporting churches, with the promise of others. Our need of new support has increased since our return Stateside in June. We have lost some support, and also the strength of the dollar in Brazil has diminished 15% more. At our up to date support level, we are only at about 86% of what we need to not be financially hindered in the work in Brazil.

We also have a few special projects we're raising funds for while on furlough concerning the camp ministry and the church construction. The Lord is blessing our efforts. A church in Washington State is providing the funds for us to install the church ceiling! Praise the Lord! We have available a list of things that we need financial help with. If you haven't received a list and would like to have one, please e-mail us at jnyelle@terra.com.br.

Our prayer requests are as follows:

· The continual spiritual growth of all those at Tabernacle Baptist in Caxias do Sul, Brazil.
· Our witnessing efforts to John's family in Washington State.
· An increase in our support level and funds for our special projects.
· Our return trip passage to Brazil, which will be around $5,000 for the family.

We thank you all again for your prayers.

Until He comes,

John & Neila Yelle
