Dear friends,

Our new year has begun with being newly situated in the Northwest. The week before Christmas we packed up our things in Springfield, MO, and began our trek to Washington State, where we will be living until the end of May. We praise the Lord for His blessing of safety and the open window between bad weather on the mountain passes. We did have one scary situation with icy roads, however. God spared us from an accident as John saw up close the rear license plate of a truck as it spun into a ditch beside us on the freeway.

John has traveled about twenty-five thousand miles since August reporting to churches in Ohio, Georgia, Florida and Louisiana. God's grace was in abundance in the travels as he had no problems.

Neila and the girls had a good stay in Springfield for the fall. The girls enjoyed the experience of a classroom setting, but are now happy to be back to homeschooling. Where we are now living, there is no Christian school close by for the girls to attend.

We have a few prayer requests for the new year.

*    John is still scheduling for spring and summer. We are still in need of an     increase in our support level, so please pray he'll get into several new churches. Please pray also for his travels.

*    Neila and the girls need your prayers for getting back into the homeschool routine.

*    Please pray for our family's health.

*    Please also pray for the Cato family and the ministry in Caxias do Sul, Brazil.

The news is really encouraging from the field. There have been a few additions in attendance, replacing those who have moved away or quit attending. There is also news of spiritual victories such as souls saved and people getting more involved in the work.

Thank you all for your prayers.

In His service,

John & Neila
