Dear Co-Laborers in Christ,

Since our last prayer/news letter our Lord has richly blessed and we are thankful that He has allowed us to continue our missionary ministry here in Brazil these past 34 years. We are also thankful to each of you for your faithful prayer and financial support.
In July and August we had two Vacation Bible Schools with an average daily attendance of 130. There were a total of 27 professions of faith in Christ and we have baptized 12 of these new converts and have added them to the church.
We had the privilege of performing two weddings recently. This is always a blessing to us and the churches. Sadly we have officiated at several funerals of older members of our congregations. However, our sadness turns to joy knowing that because you prayed and gave faithfully they are now present with our Lord Jesus Christ.
In July I returned to Texas for a brief period of four days to officiate at my brother and his wife's funerals. They both died of natural causes within 15 hours of each other. Family members asked for me to have a part in the funeral service. Judy and I won both of them to the Lord in 1972. To God be the glory!
Once again we would like to express our gratitude for your faithful prayers and monthly financial support. Thanks to your faithfulness we have been able to continue our work as laborers together with God and He has given the increase.
May our Lord Jesus Christ richly bless you all. Don't forget to lift us up daily to God in your prayers.
