April 2008
Dear Co-Laborers in Christ,
Thursday afternoon, about 3 :30 PM April 3rd, Judy
and I arrived safely in Brazil. The 20 hour trip was routine but tiring.
We are glad to be back home with our people and work. Pray for us as we
readjust to the differences of language, time, climate and customs.
We will be assisting in the ministry of the Bible
Baptist Church in Bebedouro. This church has a Brazilian pastor so our
participation will be limited. After our arrival in Brazil we discovered
that the pastor of the Bible Baptist Church in Barretos has submitted his
resignation. This church has asked me to be their interim pastor and
assist them in locating and calling another to fill this position. We
established this church in 1979 so the people naturally asked for our
assistance. Please make this a matter of prayer because finding a
qualified pastor (Independent, Fundamental and Traditional Baptist) may
be a long process.
Judy and I are thankful for each church that sent a
special offering to help with our travel expenses. Our 20 year old
refrigerator has been replaced with a new one, thanks to Pastor Lonnie
Lherman and the Granbury Baptist Church of Granbury, Texas. Thank you
folks!
Our health is good and we are praying for several
more active and fruitful years in our Brazilian ministry.
We apologize for not being able to report to all our supporting
churches. From September 2007 until March 2008 we reported to as many as
possible. Hopefully we'll be able to report to your church during our
next furlough in 2010 or 2011.
Also, please note our email addresses. We no longer
have the previous Brazilian email address. We still have the same home
phone number.
Thank you for your prayer and financial support and
for your faithfulness to our Lord and His work that He allows us to
share together. May our Lord Jesus Christ bless you all.
