Lanny and Judy were approved as World Baptist Fellowship missionaries to Brazil in 1973.

Lanny was saved in 1971 as a result of a bus ministry at Joy Baptist Temple of Fort Worth, Texas. Judy was saved when she was twelve years old.

They were married in Fort Worth, Texas in 1957 and both graduated from Bible Baptist Seminary in 1973.

Their sending church is the Oak Trail Baptist Church in Granbury, Texas.

They have three children - Cynthia, Lanny and Jody.
