My dear friends,
Thank you for your faithful prayers and
support of the work among the Mayo Indians on the west coast of
Mexico. The Institute has finished another semester of studies
under the leadership of Byrom Martin. How thankful we are that
God continues to raise up those who would serve Him among their
people.
Regarding a special prayer request in the
last letter: Brenda and Ismael’s first child was born on March
29. The precious baby boy was born with a very serious
intestinal problem and spent his brief life in the hospital,
passing from this life at age five weeks. PLEASE CONTINUE TO
PRAY FOR BRENDA AND ISMAEL and their families. Doctors are still
trying to decide what to do about Brenda’s fibroid tumor.
MORE PRAYER REQUESTS:
--Elpidia, who is Margarita’s grandmother,
has suffered a stroke and is paralyzed on one side. (Margarita
is Pastor Rosario’s wife.)
--Lucia has had one leg removed due to severe
diabetes and is not doing well.
--The work in San Miguel may lose its meeting
place in August. Please pray that the owner will change
her mind or that the Lord will provide funds to buy a lot in the
village. There is one available with a suitable building on it.
--An upcoming trip in a few days to visit
Ruben Parra’s work in Chihuahua. There will be
four of us going, including my friend Linda, who led Ruben to
the Lord many years ago when our families were ministering
in the mountains of the Tarahumaras. Ruben later lived with us
when we had moved to the Mayo work. We will be visiting the
church and orphanage begun by Ruben several years ago.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR FAITHFULNESS!
Yours in HIM,
Barbara Wimm
