Dear Praying Friends,

     Spring is here again, and it doesn't seem possible that we are almost in the middle of 2009. We are doing well. Doyle is still having trouble with his hearing.  He will go to a specialist in Dallas May 15 to see if they can do anything to repair the damage that has been done to his left eardrum. Please pray that they can do something to restore his hearing. Other than that he is doing pretty good at the moment. Even with medicine his Alzhiemers is progressing. We try to live day to day enjoying the health he still has.

     The churches in Guatemala are doing well. Souls are being saved and baptized. The economic situation has really hit Guatemala hard. Please pray for the people and especially pray for the pastors. They get paid so little, but they are serving still. These people have a special crown waiting for them in heaven for their faithfulness. Also pray for the church in Quezaltenango to receive their final papers so they will be legally a church before the government of Guatemala. These things take so long to do, but hopefully it will soon be done.
