for Jack Weaver

The Weavers were approved as World Baptist Fellowship missionaries to Colombia in 1967. When they had to flee that country because of the violence they worked in Ecuador for a period of time. They later returned to Colombia. After returning to the States they began working with the Hispanics of Fayetteville, NC.  Because of ill health they retired and moved to Palestine, Texas.  Jack was moved to a nursing home in Longview, Texas because of his worsening condition with ALS until the Lord took him home on October 17, 2006.  Services were held at the Calvary Baptist Church in Palestine, Texas Sat. October 21, 2006.  Jo is planning to move to Mexico to work with her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Danny Jones in 2007.

Jack was saved at an outdoor revival meeting in 1945 and Jo was saved in 1947. They were married in Palestine, Texas in 1955.

Jack was a 1967 graduate of the Bible Baptist Seminary.

Their sending church is the Calvary Baptist Church of Palestine, Texas.

They have four children - Michelle, Sherry, Wendy and Jay.
