Dear Praying Family and Friends,
February 2010
We have not disappeared! We just moved! It took many days to
get all our internet reconnected and back up on-line.
January had ups and downs in attendance, but now that school has begun
again, the attendance in La Campiņa has been much better. Last
week we had four new visitors brought by relatives of those who attend.
One young adult lady accepted Christ after the service. Her
mother was so excited with her decision. More and more are
getting involved with inviting others and doing things during the
services. This is a great blessing and encouragement to us
as we begin this new work.
Next month we will have our first ladies breakfast on March 7th.
Then on March 14th we will have a men's breakfast. We are praying
for a good turnout for these special study and fellowship times.
Last week we had a planning session with Javier and Blanca. So we
now have many other things planned for the upcoming months. For
Holy Week we plan special services with Pastor Gustavo doing the
preaching. We want to take advantage of the people having Thursday
and Friday off during Holy Week so that they can invite others to
attend.
Last week we went down to Cartago to see Pastor Elias. Rick
preached for the Wednesday evening service. They had a full house!
It was good to see new faces and hear of new decisions for Christ.
On Thursday we went to see a place where we could have youth camp and
also the pastors retreat. It would only take 6 hours to get there
from Medellin. The owners are more interested in renting the camp
to Christian groups than to any others. So the number of people
attending is not of importance to them. They also are giving
really good rates, especially for the campers.
Keep all these upcoming events in your prayers that many will be
blessed.
