'For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places.'
Ephesians 6:12.

Dear Pastor and Church,                         February and March 2002

Jabu and Kome-foo came to me after Wednesday night prayer meeting with some questions about baptism. They wanted to know if they had been properly baptized. Most of the Lahu churches that I have come in contact with consider themselves Baptist but adhere to baptism regeneration. Therefore, last year I spent a lot of time teaching on faith and also on baptism. I went through a couple scriptures and Romans 10 with them. Kome-foo said he had never done anything like that but was baptized to become a son of God. Kannika had led his wife to the Lord last year. Kannika had gone to visit another lady and had taken Kome-foo's wife (Nalu) with her. The lady had accepted Christ and as Na-lu and Kannika were walking home Kome-foo's wife made the statement she had never done what that lady had done. She got saved that same day. Na-lu and Kome-foo had both professed to be Christians but had never become Christians. Komefoo had brought people to church that were supposedly interested in becoming Christians but when I talked with them they had no idea about what a Christian was. So, I had some serious doubts about his salvation. He accepted Christ as his Savior that night. We thank the Lord for this fruit.
Jabu said he had already accepted Christ but needed to be baptized. They were both baptized that Sunday. A week later Na-bua-see (Ja-bu's mother) accepted Christ. We would ask you to pray for Na-bua-see as she has been asked to have a thorough exam for possible cancer.
Praise the Lord, just one week later a lady that Kannika had been counseling accepted Christ. Her name is Na-Iae.

God bless you all

Thomas and Kannika
