Dear Praying Friends,                                               Nov – Dec 2009

The last Sunday of November members began arriving at church with vegetables, plucked chickens, and pork for our Thanksgiving dinner. Most of the villagers have harvested their rice and hauled it to the village. The whole day is geared to the goodness of God. After the morning service we cook what has been brought for our pot luck dinner. We then have a time of thanksgiving and testimonies in the afternoon. This is a time of great encouragement to the Christians and a time for those that have slipped in their commitment to the Lord to hear and think of God’s blessings. We usually have some of these that will commit their lives again to the lord. This year we had seven.

We then have our Christmas services that are geared to the lost. We had our Christmas services in Huey Saa on Sunday December 27. We had over 450 for the services, meal, and games.  It is an all day affair. Many start at 4 in the morning with the killing of the hog and everything ends around 9 pm. Pradoe moved his Christmas service in Mysuksan from Saturday to the evening of Monday 28th. We had a group of young people come up from Bangkok with skits, songs, games, and treats for the kids. Pradoe combined the young people with his Christmas service. The young people from Bangkok did an outstanding job using their own money for the twelve hour trip from Bangkok.

This is followed by a charge for the New Year during our New Year service.  This is to encourage those following the Lord to grow one more notch, to lay aside certain sins, to get back in the race, and/or confirm our commitment to the Lord for the coming year. In just a little over a month we have a service to look at the goodness and mercy of the Lord (Thanksgiving), the love and sacrifice of the Lord (Christmas), and what does this mean to us in the coming year (New Year).

Thank you very much for your faithfulness

Thomas & Kannika Tucker
