Dear Praying Friends                                                                                    Nov -Dec 2008

We ended the old year with many good meetings and Fah, a young married lady, accepting Christ. Ma-li had brought her to Kannika's English class. November came to an end with our Thanksgiving service. Most of the villagers have harvested their rice and hauled it to the village. We praise the Lord that this year's rice harvest was above average. The last Sunday of November members began arriving at church with vegetables, plucked chickens, and pork for our Thanksgiving dinner. After the morning service we cooked what had been brought for our pot luck dinner. We then had a time of thanksgiving and testimonies in the afternoon. This is a time of great encouragement to the Christians and a time for those that have slipped in their commitment to the Lord to hear and think of God's blessings. We usually have some of these that will commit their lives again to the Lord.
We had our Christmas services in Huey Saa on Sunday December 21. The church leaders did well in preparation. There were over 450 for the services, meal, and activities.
Christmas services in Phayamengrai were held the following Sunday.  We had 10 members from Huey Saa spend Saturday night at Pradoe's house to help in preparation, singing, and help with the games. They had over 150 attend the Christmas meetings. This is a village that didn't want Christians in the village.
We praise the Lord for our leaders Ahjew, Jakhu, Pradoe, Pan, and Saang. I became sick on December 16 till after the first of the year. We had to cancel one meeting on the 20th while I was in the hospital because of the distance involved (6 hour drive). The other services went on as scheduled as the leaders split our responsibilities among themselves.
We do appreciate all your prayers and support.
