Dear Pastor and Church,                                                               September - October 2008

This years Teen Camp went well as we were able to take 17 teens from our village. Most of these went for the first time. We praise the Lord for the 6 teens that came from the village in Mai Suk San. This was the second time anyone from this village had ever attended one of our camps. Pra-doe is doing a very good job in this village. This brought our total to 23 teens and 5 leaders. This year we rented three vans for the 16 hour trip to camp. All together we had almost 100 campers from 7 churches with 11 accepting Christ as their Savior and many Christians going forward on the last night to make commitments.
In the past two months a lot of the young people from our village have went to find jobs in the city including young people from our church (attendance to teen camp was cut in half). The reason is to try and pay off debts incurred by their families. Almost all of our people are farmers. The cost of planting has doubled in the last year which means the amount of money they can borrow is the same as before but they can plant only half of what they planted last year. Then there was the problem with the seeds a lot of the villagers bought this year. They only produced half of their normal yield. So many ended up with a quarter of what they received last year. Because of this we lost three of five Bible Club teachers who went to work in the city. But with a big surprise and encouragement from the Lord, we now have eleven young ladies interested in learning how to teach children. Kannika is training them right now and told them she is willing to teach English if they can bring some unsaved friends to the class. They are very excited about this. The English class is on Sunday after the evening service. Kannika has twenty-two students in her English class. Please pray for salvation of the unsaved. And thank you so much for your prayers and support.
