Dear Pastor and Church                                       August -October 04

        The middle of October was our yearly youth camp. We loaded up 36
people in the bus from the church in Huey Saa (24) and Huey Saan (12)
for a thirteen hour trip to Korat. Praise the Lord we had eight young
people accept Christ. We have had 15 young people saved at youth camp
from Huey Saa in the last three years.
        We have had 16 people saved so far this year with many members
really beginning to grow in the Lord. We have seen the leaders in the
church willing to give more of their time and resources. They have had to
make some Biblical decisions that put them at odds with family and
friends. As with many Christians in the world moral or Biblical standards
are not as important as culture, acquiring land, or money.
        December 5th is Thanksgiving here at Huay Saa Baptist Church. Most of the corn and rice have been harvested. This is the third year for the church to celebrate God's blessings for the year.  Last year was the first year for some of the church members and wouldn't you know it we had a small harvest. But, the Lord watched over his people and we have seen a very good harvest this year.  Many of the members have only been tithing the last couple of years with more making that step of faith. It is a special day with people bringing in a tithe of their rice and stacking it on the platform. They will bring plucked chickens, pork, vegetables, and other goodies for the meal we will put together after the morning service. We will have an afternoon service of singing and testimonies.
        Please continue to pray for the outreach we are planning in a village in Amphur Pha-ya-meng-rai. Organizations have tried to start a work in this village before and have been run out. We plan on going Friday afternoon December 12th and spend the night.
