Dear Pastor and Church,                                                                           July - August 2007

We were able to get a passport and visa for Austin. We arrived in the U.S. on August 16th to complete our furlough. We have to have Austin back in Thailand by October 4th. He will be officially ours in December when we finish what they call "Home Study". He is a great traveler whether by air or by car. Thank you for your prayers.

August 12 was Mothers Day in Thailand. We were able to have a special Mother's Day service Sunday evening in Phayamengrai. It was our first special meeting in this village. We had 15 members from the church in Huey Saa go to help with the refreshments, games, special singing and testimonies. Praise the Lord, we had over 30 mothers and 50 kids attend. There was a chance only a few mothers would come.

We had two institute classes while we were home. Jim Hayes came up in July from Surin to teach Hebrews and James while Mike Fredrick came over from Cheing Mai in August to teach Poetical Books 1. We are very thankful for these two missionaries and also Rick Salmon who are willing to give of their time to help teach. The closest one is 5 hours while the other two are 10 and 14 hours away.

We have our youth camp on October 8-11th. We have 21 campers going from Huey Saa and another 4 from Phayamengnu. Please be in prayer that God will work in the lives of the teens. Also please pray for Austin, Kannika, and I as we leave early morning October 3 to return to Thailand. It will take us 27 hours before arriving in Bangkok evening of the 4th. The next morning we have an hour flight before driving the last 2 hours to the village and home. We will arrive in Cheing Khong on October 5th and leave for a 12 hour trip to youth camp on the evening of the 7th.
