"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
                Ephesians 6:12

Dear Pastor and Church,

The work that Pra-doe, Ya-tu, and Gow have been doing the last couple of months in Huey Dtuk has begun to produce fruit. It is about a kilometer away. Even though it is separate from this village by distance and also by race. Huey Saa is predominately Lahu while Huey Thuk is predominantly Lue and Ahka. We are both under the same Headman. They have been singing songs and teaching every Tuesday evening since January.  In the last three weeks we have had four Ahka girls accept Christ (ages 12,13,14,15). The last three weeks they have been walking to the church Sunday morning for Sunday School. They stay for the afternoon Teens class and late afternoon service. We then give them a ride home before I teach the Men's Marriage Class. They have been meeting on the front porch of a family that attends church part time.
Pra-doe and the two young men have tried to get permission to use the meeting place at the bottom of the village in Huey Dtuk where the Lue live but were denied permission because the Lue are Buddhist. Since they are on a higher social class then the Ahka it is hard to get their kids to walk up the hill to attend. If we can get a place below then not only do we have an opportunity to see the Lue come but the Ahka will walk down to attend the meetings. Please pray we will have an opportunity to work in the bottom part of the village.
We would appreciate your prayers for the Lahu village in Amper
Pha-ya-meng-rai. It is a little over two hours from us with the last 4 miles
a winding dirt road. Six of us made a visit to the village a couple months
ago to see if anyone was working in the village. We split into groups to
talk with the villagers. We all arrived back at the truck with the same
conclusion. They are hard hearted, don't see a need for spiritual things,
and are proud of the fact a couple groups have tried and left. All they
were interested in is what we would do for them in a material sense. It
sounds like a great place to start a work to me. Please pray about this
possibility.

Thank you for your prayers and support.
