Dear Pastor and Church,                                         January - March 2009

    We started this year off with two young girls accepting Christ in the village of My-suk-san. Then in February Mr. Pe-sit accepted Christ in the same village. Please pray for him (as he is a habitual drunkard) that God would help take that desire away. He usually drinks at least one cup of moonshine as soon as he gets out of bed. He will show up at Pra-doe's house apologizing for being drunk.
    The building in My-suk-san is going well. We hope to be in it by mid June. Pra-doe has done most of the wiring and plumbing on his own. I missed most of the major work on the building when I flew home the 1st of March for my father's funeral. While gone Pradoe did a great job overseeing his first building project. Thank you so much for your prayers and help with this work.
    Sunday evening (early Sunday morning in the States) March 1st we received a call from my mom that dad had passed away. Sunday morning we had preached for another missionary and decided to stop in Chiang Mai for the night instead of driving on home. If we had driven on home it might have been a couple days before receiving word. We do have a mobile phone connected to a large antenna in the village but receive a signal less than 40% of the time. Sometimes we go days without a signal. Praise the Lord for that one night stop. I was able to fly out Monday and arrive halfway around the world by Tuesday morning.
    January thru February we were able to complete four block courses for the Bible institute. Each class takes a week from 8 am - 5 pm. We had students from three churches participating. These courses included Church History 2, Hermeneutics, and Pauline Epistles 1 and 2.
