Dear Pastor and Church,

    Our new work in Pha-ya-meng-rai is still a challenge and that makes it exciting. Since December Pra-doe has been looking for some property that we could buy to put up a building. He had not found anyone in the village that was willing to sell us land except for a small piece of land close to the school. Cost: about $600. Size: building wise, about the size of a two car garage. It is good to have some opposition. Makes you keep your powder dry and let everyone know you're all going in the right direction.
    We have some good news from Huey Saa. Back in December a 15 year old teen who was addicted to sniffing glue accepted Christ. He passed away a couple days later. He had gotten in an argument with his mother about his addiction. He then went out, got high, and drank some poison. He was in the hospital for about a week before the doctor sent him home. They said there wasn't anything they could do for him and gave him 2 weeks to live. He lived a little over three. He could not sleep nor lay down. He sat doubled over in pain. Some of our members would go by to witness to him. At first he was not interested. They said he seemed to understand although his attention span was short because of the pain. After a couple of visits he wanted to become a Christian. Praise the Lord.
    The Bible institute is going well with two missionaries alternating to teach block classes once a month. We thank the Lord that they are willing to give of their time to drive 5 and 12 hours at a shot to teach.
    We have fifteen and a half weeks left on our furlough (or 109 days as of March 1st - not that we are counting). It has truly been a blessing to visit with our supporting churches, get in a few new ones, and see old friends. God has been good.
