June, 2008
Dear Friends,
The prayer we learned as a child for food I think it is appropriated
for me to say "GOD IS GOOD, GOD IS GREAT." I thank Him for the
spiritual food I have received these months I have been on furlough. I
have been in many wonderful churches and met many new people plus
renewed old friendships. I am thankful that I was able to be in many
churches that have new pastors. It was wonderful to see how God is
continuing to bless these churches.
The first week of June, I was invited to teach in a camp with the
churches in Pensacola, Florida. I taught three days in the junior camp,
and I always enjoy teaching children whether in English or Spanish. The
Lord blessed the camp with four trusting Christ as their Savior and many
young people making decisions in their lives.
The 12th of June I had my 6 month cancer check and I
got a good report. Thank you for your prayers on my behalf.
In my last letter I mentioned that the church in
Gonzalez needed a 1998, 15 passenger van. I had several pastors in the
states looking for one but we were unable to find one within a
reasonable price plus paying for the cost to get it into Mexico. The
pastor in Gonzalez finally found one in Mexico. The cost of the van was
$7200. We stepped out by faith and brought this van. Now, we need your
help. If you can help us with this expense please send it to me at World
Baptist Fellowship Mission Agency and mark it VAN. Thanks to the ones
who have already helped with this cost.
The third week in June I will be leaving for Mexico
to prepare for Vacation Bible School and camp in Gonzalez and Vacation
Bible Schools with Byron and Carolyn Martin in the Sinaloa area. Pray
for these special events.
Thank you for your faithfulness to me with your
prayers and finances.
Yours for Mexico,
Gayle
