Reaching French-Speaking Québec with the Gospel

Dear Co-Laborers in Christ,
We completed a successful
Awana Clubs season at the end of June.
We go according to the school year in Quebec. We had an average of 15 youth and kids in our French
Awana Bible Clubs. The Awana handbooks
were translated into French this past fall so we started in
mid-December. Most of the clubbers
finished at least half of their handbooks and one boy in Sparks
(flammèches) finished a whole book.
Handbook time focuses on memorizing Bible verses and Bible
principles and truths.
We had a great end
of the year Awana club meeting with an Awana store and ice cream
sundaes the kids would buy with the “Awana bucks” they earned from the club
as rewards. The parents were
invited as well. We had many new
visitors in the last few weeks of club that are very excited about returning
when we start Awana back up in September. Pray for these visitors to return to
Awana & for their salvation: Gabriel, Myriam, Karim, Patrice,
Victor, Samuel, Frank, Nadine & Melissa.
We have been translating
Gospel tracts into French for the Fellowship Tract League. A lady in our church, Susan, has been
doing most of the translation work.
I then verify it and make any changes necessary after discussing them
with her. Susan is a fully bilingual
Quebecer and does a great job translating.
The FTL has had many request for these tracts in French from various
ministries. So far we have sent in
translations for: Man's most asked question, Heaven, What
you miss by being a Christian, All This I did for thee, Someday
you will stand before God and Mary's command for Catholics. Soon
to be sent in are tract titles: How to be saved and know it and Death, it happens every day. Please pray that these tracts would reach
thousands for Christ.
There is a good
possibility that I will have the opportunity to teach a “religion”
class once a week in one or more of the public schools here in Gatineau,
QC. This is a great outreach opportunity for our
ministry. I would be more visible & well known in the
community.
It would open many doors of
opportunity for me to reach the students' families and I know that
ultimately it would result in souls won to Christ and hopefully, added
to the church here. Pray that
the Lord’s will be done.
- Pray for our continued distribution of Gospel literature, that
the people would be receptive & that souls would be saved.
- Pray for the continued success of the of the French Awana Bible clubs
for youth as we start again in September.
- Pray about the exchange rate from U.S. to Can. Dollars
that has dropped 20%+ since last year.

Pray for a couple that recently visited our church Paul & Hélène, as we minister to them.
