Dear Praying Friends,

I will be sending these short "Praise and Prayer" E-mails to you from time to time, just so we can keep in touch and so you can pray for us more specifically when the need arises.

YESTERDAY IN QUEBEC IT WAS LA "FETE DE ST. JEAN-BAPTISTE". Otherwise known as "La Fete Nationale", John the Baptist Day (National Celebration) roughly corresponds to the 4th of July in the United States. Even though Quebec is not independent from Canada, many in Quebec wish it was. (July 1st is Canada Day which commemorates when Canada became a country on July 1, 1867.) Last night throughout Quebec there were fireworks, huge bonfires, loud Rock concerts, and, lots and lots of "partying".

Please pray for a woman in our church named Susan. She is being accused of something she didn't do. It is of a very sensitive nature, so I won't name it here. The Lord knows. This will be going to trial soon. Please pray for her.

Patrice had been coming to our services faithfully and I have been having
weekly Bible studies with him. He is working though battling with depression. I have been counseling him. I also gave him a booklet on depression from RBC translated into French. He said it has helped him tremendously and is beginning to feel better. He needs your continued prayer.

Patrice and his two daughters, Caroline and Camille, are going with us this
Saturday to do gospel literature distribution. Patrice is excited to do this.
He said his daughters will be excited too. Pray that the John & Romans and tracts that we distribute will bear fruit, and that the Lord would lead us to the places where he wants us to distribute that day.

Pray for the exchange rate to improve as well as our support level, so we can continue to be effective in this ministry .
