WBF Missionaries to
BRAZIL

Dear Prayer Partners,

Praises:             God is to be praised for everything that He has enabled us to accomplish on our building since our last letter.  The roof is completed, the floor has been poured, doors have been installed, and the plumbing and electric work is almost finished. We were able to have our first service in our sanctuary, in spite of the fact that it is only in the rough, on April the eighth celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ with a sunrise service. We were not able to move our Sunday school classes at that time because there was still much work to be done on that part of the building that they might be usable. We have since been able to move the classes although the church building continues to be in the rough, but it is usable.   Our people are praising God for what He has done for us.

We had our annual mission conference in the month of April, and we are also praising the Lord for the good results. I had challenged our people to give that the church might be able to begin supporting the missionary that preached the mission conference this year. He is an Indian from the upper Rio Negro that graduated from Joe Hawkin’s  Bible Institute. God did bless and the faith promise exceeded our expectations. The church will be able to help support this missionary and the work he is doing for our Lord.

Prayer Requests:      1. Pray with for the husbands of our ladies, especially Carlos who is involved in the demon worship. He has even shown interest in salvation; but he has said that he fears the demons who have threaten to take his life if he abandons them.  We know that they have no power over a child of God, and that they will not be able to do anything that our God does not allow.  2. Pray for church growth, for more workers for our Sunday school, and we also are in need of someone that can play a keyboard.   3. We would also ask that you would pray with us about our furlough; we need someone to take over the work while we are in the states. We plan to return home in November of this year if God permits. Pray that God will work out all of the necessary things for us to be able to report to our supporting churches.

Thank you for holding us up in prayer and for your faithful financial support.  We could not accomplish this work for our Lord without each of you!

Received with thanks for February --- April _______

In His Service,
