Dear Friends and Family:

            If we knew for sure the Lord Jesus was coming today, would we do things differently than any other day?  One thing we would probably do is witness more to our lost friends and family and give them another opportunity to hear the Gospel.  We might even witness to some of our enemies.  The theme for our mission conference at Pleasantview Baptist Church this year was "Until All Have Heard".  May we be faithful to pray, give and go "until all have heard."  Here in the mission office we do all we can to help our missionaries to continue their labors on their fields. 

            Three new couples went through the seminar and retreat and were approved as World Baptist Fellowship missionaries in August:  Jamie & Melissa Brown to Australia ; Robert and Jennifer Dawson also to Australia ; Tim and Joy Guenther to New Zealand .  They will be doing their deputation beginning this year to go to their respective fields of service.  We are thrilled to serve the Lord here where we live and to help others go where we personally can’t go. 

            Family wise, things are going well.  Praise the Lord, Brian returned safely from his year tour of duty with the U.S. Army in Iraq .  Thank you for praying for his safety and for his family; Darla did a great job of keeping everything going in his absence.  They will be heading to Louisiana for his next duty station later this year.  Kristi, our daughter, is doing well, and Cristina, our granddaughter, is going through some difficult struggles right now and we ask for prayers for her. 

            God continues to bless us in so many ways.  God is good all the time.  I pray we don't ever take Him for granted.  There are struggles and battles being fought everyday.  We are exhorted to pray one for another, especially during these difficult days in which we live with the financial difficulties, political problems, etc.  Please pray for our family and our mission family.  We ask God to continue to bless you as you serve Him as well.  THANK YOU!  We appreciate your faithfulness to pray and give, and may God richly bless you.
