Dear
Pastor, Friends and Family:
The Lord is so good to us in so many different ways.
We thank the Lord for our good health and surely don’t take it
for granted. I, David, have
had oral surgery and dental work done and that hasn’t been pleasant.
We don’t have dental insurance so it is all “out of
pocket”, but we are confident that He will provide. Betty has been
doing great. Oh me, getting
old isn’t for wimps, however it is better than the alternative.
I get reports that the works in
Ecuador
are progressing well. There
have been 8 souls saved and all have followed the Lord in baptism and
been added to the church since our last prayer letter.
Pastor Fausto Rivera’s father passed away after a long illness.
Please pray for the Rivera family in the homegoing of Raul
Rivera. The Bible Institute
is progressing and there were classes held two weeks ago with new
students enrolled and there were 5 national pastors and missionaries
doing the teaching and training. That
is what it is all about, the national leadership continuing on after the
missionary leaves.
Our family is doing fine. Kristine
continues to live and work in the
Carrollton
,
Texas
, area. She has had some
health issues in the past few months.
Our granddaughter, Cristina lives in
Corpus Christi
,
Texas
, and is looking for full-time employment right now.
Brian and his family live in
Ft. Polk
,
Louisiana
, and will be there for approximately three years.
We are so proud of him and the accomplishments he is making in
the Army.
Betty and I continue with our duties here at the mission office.
Betty works in the accounting area and maintains the WBFI.net
website as well. I help the
missionaries to find equipment, vehicles to use while on furlough and
deputation, maintain two mission houses and three mission vehicles, and
do daily mailing and banking. We
are thankful to have a part in helping and serving the missionaries. We
appreciate you and your labor of love for our Lord.
Thank you for your prayers and financial support.
Your servants for Christ,
Dave and Betty Schembera
