DON AND MARY ROWLAND
MISSIONARIES TO OLD MEXICO
SEPTEMBER 2008

Dear Praying Friends,

Thank you for faithful prayers in response to our News Letters, reports and petitions. We thank the Lord for blessing us with health and supply for the ministry here in Mexico. Ephesians 1:7

"CASA HOGAR" ORPHANAGE

Progress is being made on the building to house the orphans. Pray for Lighthouse Baptist Church in Dover, PA as they make preparations to send a work group for the orphan's home.

BIBLE INSTITUTE:

Institute classes began in September with 45 students. Sixteen students live on campus and the rest of the students commute. The evening classes have helped lower the costs of the operation of the institute and gives opportunity to many others to attend the institute.

NEW HIGHWAY TAX:

Pastor Bob Walker is working diligently on solutions to meet the demand the government has put on the El Camino Baptist Church property and its ministries. The tax could be as much as $80,000 or one third of the property. Please keep this matter in your prayers.

NEW MINISTRY STARTED BY A GRADUATE

Brother Andy Racicot is a graduate of the Bible Institute. He and his wife, Sochil, started a new work in Tijuana the end of August. They have seen souls saved already. They also minister to Army soldiers and Police officers stationed in this area. One family who had just moved there already knew the Racicots because the church they are from send students to the Bible Institute. We trust this family will be an asset to the work. Brother Andy's wife gave birth to their third child, Esther, August 28. Pray for Brother Andy and family in their new ministry.

PRAYER REQUEST:

There are problems with our resident work papers here in Old Mexico. This concerns our legal status to minister in Mexico. Pray with us as we lay this at the Lord's feet trusting and resting in His will as it is accomplished.

THIRTY SIX YEARS IN MEXICO:

July 2008 marked thirty six years since we were sent to Old Mexico by the Grace Baptist Church, Pompano Beach, FL. The Lord has been good to us through many, many good times and He has been so gracious and precious to us through some very difficult times during our ministry. Please pray for us and the future of our ministry to the beautiful Mexican people.

In Jesus’ Name

Don and Mary
