DON AND MARY ROWLAND
MISSIONARIES TO OLD MEXICO

MAY 2004 NEWSLETTER

Dear Praying Friends,

El Camino Baptist Church is nearly a year old and meets on our institute campus.  Our students get valuable experience in local church ministry.  We have ten home studies during the week.  This new church is winning souls and growing with Sunday attendance over 200.  The “NEW HIGHWAY” will bring new subdivisions close to our institute.  We see this as a great blessing for outreach for our church.

BIBLE INSTITUTE:  We will be graduating four men and four women on June 12, 2004.  Here are some testimonies and a little information about their ministry plans after graduation.  Pray for God’s guidance on these graduates as they go out into the world to serve.

Luis Alberto Tolentino:  I received the Lord as my Savior at youth camp in 1998.  I teach a weekly home Bible study to 27 people.  I am praying about serving with a pastor in Puerta Vallarta after Graduation.  I also desire to be an evangelist.

Omar Áuila:  I was saved in

Gabriel Islas:  In 1991 I was saved in

Monica Garcia:  I was saved at 17 in my home after hearing preaching about Jesus at a youth meeting.  I teach ages 9-11 in Sunday school.   I go soul winning on our bus routes and help with the ladies weekly Bible studies.  Pray for me after graduation as I desire to work in a church as a teacher and what ever else I would be needed for in the work of the Lord.

Mari González:  In 1999 I was saved at age 17.  This was the result of young people knocking doors in my neighborhood.  I have attended church ever since.  I teach children ages 6-8 in weekly home Bible studies and we go soul winning on Saturdays.  After graduation I plan to continue working as I am now.  I pray for God’s direction to be able to minister by continuing to learn and to put into practice what I have learned in the Bible institute.

Xochitl Aitamirano:  I have attended church since I was 8.  I heard the plan of salvation and accepted Christ as my savior.  I did not have assurance of my salvation until attending a youth camp when I was 15.  I know that God has called me to work with children.  After graduation I desire to work with a missionary couple.  I believe that God’s will is for me to be in children’s ministry full time.   In the meantime I will continue serving in my church in any capacity they need of me.

Virginia:  A family in San Diego
