“CASA HOGAR” ORPHANAGE

More progress has been made on the building to house the orphans.  Pray for this ministry of El Camino Baptist Church that these precious children will come to know the Lord and blossom in the loving atmosphere they experience in this orphan ministry.

NEW MINISTRY STARTED BY A GRADUATE

Brother Omar Islas is a graduate of the Bible Institute.  He and his wife, Vanessa, started the Independent Fundamental Baptist Church in Talpa de Ayende in the state of Jalisco.  They are meeting in the side yard and back of their home.  It is small and very rustic but little by little they are improving the property and now have a small auditorium with a couple of class rooms.  Brother Omar sends us a regular report of their work and it is thrilling to hear how the Lord is blessing them as they struggle economically yet continue spreading the gospel and winning souls.  Pray for this family and their new church that the Lord’s hand would be upon them.
We are so blessed to have had a part in training this couple in our institute.

PRAYER REQUEST:

We mentioned in previous letters that there were problems with our Resident/Work papers that could affect our legal status to minister in Mexico .  We are shocked and saddened that after thirty six years of ministry; Mexican Immigration cancelled our papers permanently.  Legally we will not be permitted to continue ministering in Mexico .  This was certainly not in our plans. 

We appreciate the prayerful counsel and guidance of our home church and mission director concerning this abrupt change in our ministry.  As you can imagine this has been very unsettling for us.  Please pray with us during the days ahead as we earnestly seek the Lord’s will for our ministry.  We believe God is in control and has allowed these circumstances in our lives.  We trust that shortly we will be able to share with you what we believe the Lord would have us do.
