DON AND MARY ROWLAND
MISSIONARIES TO OLD MEXICO
FEBRUARY
2007 NEWSLETTER
Dear
Praying Friends,
The second week of January 2007 we
returned to Tecate, Mexico to begin our next term of service. We want to thank
all of you who we were able to visit during our furlough. Your hospitality and
generosity were a great blessing to us. For praying friends and supporting
churches we were unable to visit, we thank you for your prayers and faithfulness
to the Lord on our behalf. New mailing address: P.O. Box 1584, Tecate,
CA 91980.
FUNDAMENTAL
BIBLE BAPTIST INSTITUTE:
We
have returned to teaching our classes for our institute’s Spring Semester.
We are so thankful for Brother Mario Nungaray, one of our 2000 graduates,
who taught our classes while we were on furlough.
What a blessing to have graduates trained and capable to do this.
Pray for Brother Mario, as he is involved in an evangelistic ministry and
preaches many meetings. Since I
took over my classes he has freedom to travel greater distances to preach
revival and evangelistic meetings.
Institute
Classes have been moved to evening classes now. More students are able to attend institute classes with
this arraignment. The evening
classes start at 5:30 PM. Some
folks are attending full time and others are taking fewer classes because of
work and family responsibilities. We
are looking forward to the future as we will see
trained graduates going on into the ministry and many lay people will
become more involved in their local churches because our their training in the
institute.
Continue to pray for the Lord’s guidance
and supply for setting up a Private Christian School on the institute campus.
There is always a lot of red tape to deal with.
Pray our goal of starting by Sept of 2007 will be met.
ORPHANAGE:
“CASA HOGAR”, is an orphanage ministry
of El Camino Baptist Church. Several
of the 12 children the government placed in CASA HOGAR had emotional problems
from neglect and abuse. We praise
the Lord that all the children are improved emotionally and some have received
Jesus as their Savior. Last week the Mexican Government came and asked if they
could bring more children to CASA HOGAR. We
are looking at plans to build a 40 x 60 building to house these children. Pray
for the Lord’s supply for this building and this ministry.
PRAISE
REPORT
In September Mary fell and fractured eight
bones in her left foot. She was
under the Doctor's care for several months which delayed our return to the
field. We thank you for your
prayers for Mary. She is walking
well and continues to do better as time goes by.
Thank you all so much for your interest, prayers and support
for our ministry in Old Mexico. Ephesians
