MERRY CHRISTMAS from

Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,
 
Wishing each of you a very joyful and blessed Christmas season!  Although we cant be with you in person, we are certainly with  you in our prayers.
 
Thank you for your prayers.  They keep us going.  Pray for Indonesia!  As you know about 190 people died and another 200 were injured in the terrorist bombing in Bali.  Please pray for the Christians, the foreigners, and all Indonesians, for their safety and well being, during these troubled times.  We do not know what the future holds, but Praise God, we know who holds the future!
 
In the city of Joga PDT. Julius and the church saw 3 adults saved and baptized in July ,and 3 more in Nov.  They started an Extension Bible School out of the main school in Purworjeo.  We started with 7 students.  Pdt. Julius meets in a rented store front on a very busy street.  This church needs a building for their people to meet in.  Please make this a matter of prayer, and if you can help with even a small amount, it would be much appreciated.
 
The church in Kaligesean invited us for their 18th anniversary Sunday, and a young man Andrie was saved and baptized at that time.
 
In the church in Solatiga, Pdt. Yohanes Solmon recently had 2 saved and baptized, for which we thank the Lord.

Pastor Sudiran and myself, have  been asked to help the church in Cankrip, until they find another Pastor.  They are faithful and we are thankful.

Our Bible Institute in Purworejo began their new semester under the leadership of Pdt. Yakub.  They now have 6 extension schools under their local churches located in Wates, Solo, Semerang, Jogya ( 2) and Bali.  Please pray much for the main school, and for each of the extension schools as well, that God will lead and guide each one.  There are a total of 50 students so far.  We now have a small dorm,  two buildings, and a bathroom on the campus grounds.  There are many needs, such as adding a small kitchen, mattresses are needed as well.  Special thanks to Steve and Jody Ross for supplying the funds for one of the extension schools in Jogya, and the main school to purchase much needed desks.

We recently hosted the Central Java Independent Baptist meeting for peachers and their wives.  We want to especially thank the Messiah Baptist Church in Kansas  ( Pastor and Mrs Mark Hoover) and in particular Bonnie and Dave Broomsfield for all their help in gathering the clothes and toys , etc. for the Indonesians.  A few others took part as well, including Mrs Darlene Chappelear, Cory Beth and Benji Ross, plus the kind shop ( friends of Pastor and Mrs Ben Langley) that gave us some brand new items to bring back with us.  We gave all the items out, and everyone was thankful.  What a blessing!

In closing, we want to wish a Happy 40th Anniversary to our Pastor Jerry Siler and his wife Kay, and a Happy Birthday to our grandson Benji who will be 6 on Dec 3rd, also to our son Steve whose birthday is Dec. 27th.
