August-- Sept. 2010
Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,
Pray for us, as our furlough is quickly drawing to a close. Our
scheduled departure date for Indonesia is August 31st, 2010. We
are so thankful for God's watch-care over us during our travels, for
being able to spend a little time with our two sons, our daughter-in-laws,
and our 5 precious grandchildren, for being able to see some of our
friends and relatives, for grace in dealing with the passing of Carole's
sister Joyce, for being able to visit many of our supporting churches,
and be in some new ones as well, and for God's many blessings.
A special thanks to our Pastor--Dr. Jerry Siler, Kay and our home
church, Cornerstone Baptist Temple, and to Pastor Rick Washburn Jr.
and Megan and the Vandalia Baptist Temple, also to Jeff Blackburn for
the use of the nice van for the time we were home.
We so much appreciate the love and kindness shown us by our supporting
churches, new churches and our mission office in Arlington, Texas.
Our Bible Institute will begin classes in Sept. Pray for the
director Pastor Sujono, the teachers and all of the students.
Today my sister, Lena Heckman had surgery for total hip replacement.
Please pray for her.
So proud of our granddaughter and our grandson. Cory is on a
short term mission trip to Peru, and Ben is in a different town from
where they live in Pa. working on a mission project.
Please be in prayer for the many needs we have in Indonesia, including
more funds for the Bible Institute, helping with the needs of the
students attending the Bible Institute, building a dorm for the
students, helping two of our pastors purchase a bldg for their
churches, helping some of our Sunday School students pay their school
bill, helping with the Yayasan needs ( this group sponsors
missionaries to come in to the country) Would you pray about making a
one time gift to our ministry? Feel free to specify where you
would like it to go.
In the meantime we covet your prayers for souls to be saved, new works
to be started, growth in the young preachers and students, safety, our
health, financial needs to be met, and many other needs as well.
In closing, we thank each of you that had a part in making our
furlough such a memorable one.
Brethren pray for us. His for souls, Dave and Carole Ross,
Indonesia
