PRAY FOR THE ROSS FAMILY IN
INDONESIA

AUGUST SEPTEMBER 2004
Dear Pastor and Praying Family and Friends,
Please pray for Pastor Robin's wife, Mae. She is in the
hospital, and will have an appendectomy in the next few days. Pastor Robin
and Mae serve the Lord in the Purworejo area. They have 2 daughters, age 3
years, and 4 months. Please pray for their ministry.
Pastor Yohanes Solmon, in the town of Solatiga, needs much
prayer. Their church bldg is in the process of going up. The foundation is
in, the frame is part way up. They have stopped, due to a lack of
funds. If you could help with any amount, it would be a blessing to him, his
wife Puji, their 2 sons, and especially to the church. They need $2,000
to finish the first floor, so they can begin meeting in the bldg. Their plan
is to later on, finish an upstairs for the family to live in. As he told
us of this need recently, tears streamed down his face. The need is great,
but our God is greater. Will you consider giving a one time sacrificial
gift, so the Cornerstone Independent Baptist Church of Solaiga can finally
have their very own church bldg. Thanks in advance for any help you can
give. He recently baptized a lady , and she is very faithful. Their are 2
other new ladies, that are now attending the church. Pray for
their
salvation.
Pastor Tom and his wife Zenny , are doing a fine job in
the Agape Independent Baptist Church in the Jogya area. They have a need
for a motorcycle. The cost would be $800.00 This is a city ministry, and
at present, they doing visitation by bus. Zenny is expecting a baby. They
are a fine Christian couple. Pray for Brother and Mrs Jonathan in the church, that
help in so many ways. It helps lighten the load for Pastor Tom. Brother
Jonathan is the trustee for the church. Pray for him, his dear wife, and
their 3 sons. Last Sunday, two ladies who have been coming faithfully to
the services , accepted Christ. To God be the glory!
Pastor Glen Anderson from Pensacola Baptist Temple spoke
for our Independent Baptist preachers and their families recently. He is one
of our supporting pastors, and the home pastor of our friends, John and
Marge Malanowski. It was a real blessing to have the 3 of them in our area
for several days. Pastor Anderson was a real blessing to all as were the
Malanowskis, and we are so thankful for them coming here.
From July 6--9 we had our annual Youth Retreat in the
Purworejo area. We had a count of 150 including teens, adults, children,
and workers. A great time was had by all. Both Carole and I had a special
session with the teens, she with the girls, and I spoke to the boys. Please
pray God will work in the hearts of these young people.
Our Bible Institute is out until August. Pray for new
students. Pastor Yakub is doing a fine job as director of the school.
On the 22--24 of July, a couples and students retreat, is
being held in a mountain area. Pray for God to bless.
Pray for Indonesia, as they are now in the process of
electing a new president. So far, things are going well. The police are
doing a very good job of watching over things, at this potentially dangerous
time.
