DAVID AND CAROLE ROSS
WBF Missionaries to
INDONESIA
News from the Rosses in
Indonesia
March ---June 2009
Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,
Arrived in
America
the 28th of Feb for a short two month emergency stay, in
order to get Carole's older sister Joyce settled in to a nursing
facility. Joyce is no longer
able to stay alone. She has many medical problems, uses a walker, has
had colon cancer etc.
Thanks to the love and help of many, we were able to get Joyce
moved out of her apt, get her things sold, and see her settled into a
permanent place; where her many needs are being met.
We are so thankful to our Pastor Jerry Siler, his
dear wife Kay, and our church
Cornerstone
Baptist
Temple
for all their help, and to the
following as well. Bro and Mrs. Tommy Raley and our mission office
staff, our sons David and Steve Ross and their families, Jeff Blackburn,
Lena Heckman, Tammy and Carl, Jane and Walt, Craig Curtis.
Also a special thanks to the churches that let us use their
lovely mission apts/home while we were in the states:
Grace Baptist Church, Victory Baptist Church, Vandalia Baptist
Temple. And a special thanks
to Pastor Jim Muncie, and Pastor
John Chamberlain from
Ky.
Stan and Judy Hutchison, Skip Woodfin family, and many others as well.
We returned to
Indonesia
the end of March, a little short of two months from the time we arrived
in the states. We were very
tired, but felt like we had accomplished our goal. Of course this could
not have been done without the help of many others.
After we returned to
Indonesia
, the Woodfin family arrived from the states.
They were in our city for over 20 days waiting for their needed
papers. Bless their hearts,
that is a long waiting time. But
Praise the Lord, the paper work finally came out, and they are now in
Bali
. They were a blessing to us.
The meeting held every 3 months for Pastors and
their wives went well. It was held at Pdt Yohanes Solmans church this
time. Bro Skip Woodfin spoke
to the men and Carole spoke to the ladies.
Shortly after returning to
Indonesia
, we received word that Carole's sister Joyce has cancer of the gums
and of the bone. The Dr is
now determining if there is a possibility of doing surgery, which
would involve removing the jaw bone, and part of her gums, or perhaps
she could have chemo or
radiation. Pray with us,
as we try to advise Joyce
and talk to her, from this side of the globe.
Of course our hearts are broken that she has to go through
this. But, we can't limit
God. We would like to say
a special word of thanks to our friend Sandy Fogle. She is a real
trooper and has been a very big help to us; and with Joyce.
Also thanks to another special lady who often comes to see
Joyce, Jessica Blackwell.
Praise the Lord, Pdt Tom found a place for the
church to meet. We
were down to the wire and had to get out, and we are very thankful.
We pray during the 2 year time we have rented the bldg for,
we can purchase a bldg for them. If
everyone would help, this could come true. Will you pray? Will you give?
