Dear Pastor and Praying Family and Friends,

Bro. Robin and his wife Mae are now leading  the Faith Independent Baptist Church in Cangkrip.  Although the church has been through much heartache, they now rejoice in their new leadership.  Please pray that God will re-supply new songbooks, a pulpit, table, chairs etc.---the things  these dear people lost.  A few gifts of $10 or $15 could supply this real need.

Pastor and Mrs. Julius and the Independent Baptist Church of Prayer in Yogyakarta have evidenced both smiles, and tears recently.  Smiles when 2 young people accepted Christ, and will be    baptized this coming Sunday!  And, tears of compassion, when a new believer, Mrs. Wellems  experienced a real heartache in her life.  She recently lost her husband to cancer.  She lives with 5 of her 6 children, in one room.  The older son recently returned from Jkt, and when he discovered that  his Mother had become a Christian, he burned her Bible and her baptism certificate, destroyed her pension papers, and the months food supply, she had just purchased, then hit her in the face numberous times.  Pray for God to give this precious lady strength to keep on keeping on.

Bro. and Mrs Yohanes Solmon and the church in Solatiga need much prayer.   They have outgrown their present bldg which they are renting.  To rent a place that would accommodate everyone, will cost about $1.000.000 for two years.  You can not rent a place by the month here.  Would you be willing to have a part?

Our Bible Institute is doing well, as are the extension schools, for which we thank the Lord.  We have enclosed a letter from our administrator Pastor Yakub.  The Bible School does need more funds. If you are interested in helping with this endeavor for Christ, please let us know.

In Jan. we attended the Annual fellowship Meeting for Pastors and their wives in Bandung.  About 150 people were present for this uplifting event.

As you know, war is on the horizon.  We are not sure what the repercussions will be here.  Our desire is to remain here, but it may become needful to return home for a time.  Please pray that the Lord will give us wisdom.

PRAYER LETTER FROM ADMINISTRATOR OF
BIBLE INSTITUTE

March, 2002

Dear Praying friends,

I hope the Lord is greatly blessing your walk with Him these days.  The things of this world can so easily tempt our hearts.  It is imperative that we stay close to the Lord.  It is really a day by day and moment by moment experience.  I hope and pray that the Lord will give us grace and wisdom to stay focused on Him and not on ourselves  Our ministry has come through some fires and trials this past year, but so far in 2003 we continue to see an effective work for God with souls being saved.  I like to say, Lets keep the main thing the main thing.  I believed the main thing for this ministry is to see that one soul saved and that one heart come close to God.

We thank God and thank  you very much for your love, prayers, kindness and support for all of our ministries in Indonesia.  Thank you for the cooperation we have with you and your church in the Bible School and our ministry to reach Indonesia which still has regions to reach by the Gospel. The need for training  institutes is indisputable.  The Lord needs equipped men and women who can face the challenges of the hour both spiritually and intellectually.  We dare not send neophytes otherwise the work of God is entrapped by the evil lies of nowadays.  Thats what we here for--to train and show the nationals and the youth that it can be done.

The first of February 2003, began a new semester at our Bible Institute in Purworjeo.  Besides the main school, we have 6 extension schools involved in training would be workers under their local churches located in Solo, Semerang, yogya ( we have 2) Wates and Bali with a total enrollment of 48 students.  I do appreciate those churches that gave love offerings for the Bible school.  We saw many outstanding things that have been done in the work of God.  By Gods sufficient grace, they were able to advance the same goal that I have in my heart to win souls for Jesus Christ.  Pray much for myself. and for Bro. David Ross, our Senior Advisor as we labor for His dear cause , and please pray for each teacher and student as well.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support.

Not me, but Christ,    Pastor Yakub
