Dear loved ones,
15,000 miles, 41 churches, exciting conferences, 3 more salvations, 3
decisions for full time mission work, and great memories for our children
... the Roses are winding up furlough. Greetings from the road and thank
you for your prayers! We praise God that he has kept us safe and without
vehicle trouble as we travel! The next month and a half is booked up with
appointments in five different states before we return to Spain on June 23rd.
We are excited about supplies and materials we have been able to obtain during the last several months and have
already packed several suitcases full of prizes and craft items for
Vacation Bible School, Christmas music, Spanish literature, youth
materials and tracts (still lacking a good used accordion). Praise the
Lord, we have heard that the new baptistery built in the Spanish church in
December, has now been used and one has been baptized. The churches in
Spain are excited about our return as we look forward to seeing what God
is going to do there in the future.
We thank the Lord for the churches that we've visited. They have done a
wonderful job meeting our needs and providing great experiences for our
children. In between our church appointments, we've had opportunities to
spend some time with our families and visit extended relatives. We have
also scheduled dental and doctor's visits ... please pray that we will be
able to complete all follow-up care before we leave (Some of us have
cavities!). Two churches have given special offerings for us to purchase a
new lap-top computer ... please pray that we will have wisdom to purchase
exactly what is needed for the ministry. Please pray for the children as
we finish up home schooling; and for their correct placement back in the
Spanish schools when we return. Please pray for the exchange rate. When we
arrived, the exchange rate was at 1.17% instead of the current rate of
1.57%. At the present rate we need at least $300 more a month to cover our
basic bills before we return. Due to the requirements of the Spanish
government, we can not alter our return date. We are praying in faith for
God to meet all our needs and provisions (Nehemiah 2:20).
Though our family has been doing well since the passing of my father,
as we draw closer to our departure date we are aware that it will be
difficult emotionally when we leave the country, not only for our own
family, but also for my mother, sister, and grandparents. We especially
covet your prayers during this time.
Departure Date: June 23rd
For His glory,
Bill & Dena Rose with Brianna, Kelsey, Jordan, Joshua, Josiah, and
