WBF Missionaries to DOMINICA

September 2003

 

Dear Praying Friends,

 

        We have been in Dominica now 10 years and the Lord continues to bless. In July, Community Baptist Church of Stuart Florida sent a team of young adults to help with Vacation Bible School. They did the VBS in two villages and had a great turnout. In the village of Calibishie they averaged 150 per day in attendance. At Woodfordhill we averaged 110 per day in attendance. The week was very rewarding as it was reported to me that there were more than 40 decisions for the Lord between the two villages. So we are truly grateful for their visit and help in reaching the young people of Dominica.

    Another semester has ended at Ross Medical School and once again we were blessed to have the Lord work in the lives of these medical students. As we listened to the testimonies that were given by the students that were finished with their  studies here, we heard from two who came to the island lost and accepted Christ while they were here. " So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God". As a new semester starts we are asking the Lord for the opportunities to reach some more with the Gospel.

     This month marks the 10th anniversary of the dedication of the building at Woodfordhill. We will have an anniversary service the 28th of the month and are expecting to have a great day. Please continue to pray for us and the work here. We truly are blessed by your support. May our Lord bless you all abundantly.
