TOMMY and LINDA RALEY
WBF MISSION OFFICE
MISSION DIRECTOR

July 2008

Dear Praying Friends,

July is a very busy month for us here at the Mission Office, and this year it is especially busy for me.  I have the privilege to visit our missionaries in the United Kingdom at a Missionary Retreat in Wales.  I am honored to be invited to speak to the missionaries and to visit and speak in their churches as well.  One of the greatest blessings of my ministry is that I get to visit with our missionaries on the field from time to time.  It is always a thrill to meet brothers and sisters in Christ in the different countries around the world.

One reason that I can leave the office and travel is that Bro. Dave Schembera, our Assistant Mission Director, is here to take care of many of the details of the ministry.  It would be very hard on the ladies here in the office to do what he does.  Bro. Schembera is a valuable asset to us.  Through these past eight years that he has served with us here, he has lost a number of supporting churches and is in need of additional support.  If you do not presently support Bro. Schembera, please pray about adding him to your missionary family.  Support given for him would be a good investment in the cause of missions.

Just after I return from the UK, our Annual Candidate Seminar will begin on July 23, 2008 here at the Mission Office.  We will spend ten days with the candidates, helping them to prepare for their deputation and field ministry.  We have some fine candidates for this year’s seminar and we are earnestly praying that each of them will become a part of our WBF Mission Family.

Following the Candidate Seminar, we will begin the month of August at the Annual Mission Family Retreat (Aug. 4-7), which will be held at the Minnetonka Christian Camp in Clayton, Oklahoma.  We are looking forward to a time of spiritual and physical refreshment as our furlough and deputation missionaries come together for a few days.   We try to plan a good program for them, and in the past this has been a time of great blessing.   Pray that the Lord will bless us this year also.

Linda and I are so grateful to each church and each individual Christian who faithfully pray for us, and also for those who financially support our ministry so faithfully.  In August we will complete 18 years of ministry here at the Mission Office.  God has been so good to us through these years and we are asking Him for a few more years to serve Him here.  We need your prayers.

Yours for souls,

Tommy and Linda Raley
