Dear Friends &
Supporting Churches,
We
have just finished our Missions Emphasis Week here at Arlington
Baptist
College. We were blessed to have Bro. Charles Bowen, missionary to the Hispanic
people, preach and encourage the students to reach the many millions of
immigrants with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
On Wednesday, Bro. Jacques Alexander a missionary from and to
Haiti delivered a powerful message on determining God’s will for the
individual’s life. Finally,
on Friday, we were able to emphasize missions through a video and skit
given by the Mission majors, who encouraged all those attending the
college to listen for a call and go spread the gospel.
I always find this particular week to be my favorite by far,
because it reminds everyone of the importance of evangelizing the lost.
Many people today feel that much of America and the World have
spiraled down morally for revival and evangelism to take place, but I
disagree. The same Holy God
that ignited the spiritual fires during the 1st two centuries
after his Son’s resurrection is still powerful and life changing.
Missions are always victorious as long as we all partner together
through prayer and bold witnessing for the glory of God.
As a result of prayer and God working through the speakers, we
had decisions made for full-time Missionary service.
Please continue to pray for everyone who made decisions that they will
remain faithful, and that they will not fall away from fears and
temptations the world has to offer. Pray for the Missions Department as
we strive to train young men and women for future service both foreign
and domestic. And lastly,
that safe travel will be afforded to all students this summer who are
venturing to go on foreign Missions trips.
For His Glory,
Brian & Jodell
