Dear Friends & Supporting Churches,
Spring is upon us... at least
here in Texas. This semester at the College I can say that we have seen
some real growth in the Missions Department. One of the blessings is
the success of "Lifecycle", an all-student organization that focuses on
growth, service, maturity, and leadership. This month we concluded a
series on service, and putting this into practice we had several of the
students volunteer to help clean the local WBF Mission House. They
worked hard, had fun, and learned that serving others means going
beyond what's required. My hope and prayer is that with each semester we
will see more students get actively involved in personal and collective
growth with an increasing desire to reach the world.
Another great blessing this past month was the opportunity to
minister in a Missions Conference in the local area. During the week I
was given a chance to share my salvation testimony and call to Missions, and God
used it to touch a young lady's heart. I learned the next day that she
accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Many times being in the
ministry, it is easy for me to forget how God can take a simple
testimony and work miracles in people's hearts. We often
think our presentations of the gospel have to be persuasive or powerful
but in reality we simply need to speak the truth, God does the rest.
Finally, we are preparing for a Missions trip to Honduras
in May for a few of the ABC students. We are using Missions Quest
International and are looking forward to stirring students hearts for
the cause of Christ. Please pray that all will run smooth and that we
will see people accept Jesus Christ as Savior on this trip. I know that
the Lord is in complete control, however I want to do my part in asking
for prayers that God will work wonders in each person's heart.
In His Service,
