Good news from a far off land is like water to a
thirsty soul. How great a time we had in Ecuador in the construction
of a roof for one of the Churches in the Quito area. Bro. Schembera had this project working and I
went to help with what ever I could do for the week. The Pastor is one
of the professors in our Institute.
Let me give you a report as I have received them from
Ecuador.
Bro. Luis is working in a suburb of Quito and he baptized 15 during
the month of OCT. Another pastor by the name of Luis has led 4 people
to the Lord in a town called Guayllbamba. Bro. Franklin in Santo
Domingo has won 4 people to the Lord and will be baptizing them soon.
The youth from Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Jasper, Georgia have
raised the money to buy the lot on the coast in Ecuador. Bro. Manuel
did all the paper work and the lot is in the name of the Church of
Santo Domingo. Please make it a matter of prayer that we would like to
have about 12 to15 men go and help us with the construction of a small
building on the coast of Ecuador in a poor fishing village. We would
like to do this in the month of April 2009. Would your Church like to
go and help in this project? Let me know.
You have been so faithful to support Charlene and me for many years
and we thank you for the support both financially and prayerfully.
Charlene's health is not what she would like it to be, so please
continue to pray for us.
In His labor,
Mel and Charlene Neill
