TERRY and TAMI MORSE
WBF Missionaries to
FRANCE
Oct. 17, 2004
Dear Friends,
Over 5 years ago, I talked with a woman that was responsible for the music
room at the Music School, with the intention of renting it for our newly started
church. I don't remember the full extent of the conversation, but in the end
the director, Laurent, told us that they could not rent it to us, because that
would open the door to everybody.
This woman, whose name is Jeanine Martin-Garin, has a daughter in the
music school who would talk to Tirzah quite often. The daughter is about 17,
and Jeanine is about 53 years old or so. She has as well a 21 year old son.
But during our English Club meeting last Thursday, Denise told me that Jeanine
has terminal cancer, and is very close to death. She has lost over 36 pounds
recently.
Tami and I visited her house (she lives at St. Colomban, 25 minutes up in
the mountains) on Saturday. Tami made a carrot cake, and since Jeanine did not
come to the door, we left it on the doorstep with a tract and our phone number.
She called tonight, and said that she was very touched by the gift, the tract
and wants to talk to us. Tomorrow (Monday) we have a visit scheduled at 2PM
with her. Please pray she will be saved, if she has not already done so via the
tract, and that she would be healed from her cancer. If God chooses to heal
her, because of her personality and her influence in the valley (she was
responsible, I guess, for starting the music school) she could be used by God
in a great way in this valley. We have prayed for years for God to break
open the doors here in the Maurienne, maybe He's ready to pour out His Spirit
with this event. That has never happened here. The devil heals people, we hear
accounts from time to time. But our God is infinitely more powerful that Satan,
and He will move on the behalf of the prayers of His people. Please pray with
us.
God bless you all,
