Dear Friends,
Our "Luau" went very, very well last night. We had three couples
(who are not saved, and are not a part of the church) that came, with their
children. One couple we invited was not able to be there, but the event went
very well, and we believe that the contacts and friendships made will grow,
hopefully to the point where we can lead them to the Lord one of these
days.
One couple, Helen and Gwenael, came as a result of David and Lol, and
Stephane, who works with Gwenael. Our first contact with them was last year at
Christmas, when he was very ill, and in the hospital with kidney problems. He
was off work for a long time, perhaps 4 -5 months, I'm not sure of the length of
time. Our church, Eglise Biblique Baptiste, made up a Christmas package, for
gifts for all of them (they have two girls, ages 9 and 13, I believe). Helene
was not very responsive to our gifts, she has a very independent spirit and does
not want anything from anyone. But last night she seemed to really enjoy
herself. Gwenael has been friendly for some time. Roger is coming over again
tonight at 9, just for a few minutes, he and Sophie sure enjoyed the evening.
Sophie brags on Tami all the time, (cooking, the decorations, etc) and said,
"Well, we weren't disappointed! It was great!"
So the Lord answered our prayers, we are praying now that the seed sown
will grow. Thank you all for your prayers!!!
